Optimistic view of the future

According to Managing Director Lars Greitsch, the order books are already quite full for the coming year. But the Corona pandemic has also caused numerous projects to be postponed at the metal casting plant. Several orders have not been canceled, but have been moved to next year, Greitsch continues. The company's management is positive about the future. Shipbuilding has recovered somewhat in the meantime, and container ships are being built again.

But there are also new fields of work for MMG - such as hydropower plants. High-performance pumps are needed. The company has high expectations for the future due to the fact that all ships will have to reduce CO2 emissions from 2023. To achieve this, MMG has developed energy-efficient propellers. The first inquiries have already been received. From project planning to the completion of a propeller it takes about half a year.
