Power Train Calculations

In the redesign or new building of the ship, the propulsion train must be checked for torsional vibrations, the bending of the shaft and bearings loads. As this is influenced by the propeller, MMG uses FEA aided processes to observe all relevant shaft ing criteria during the design preparing all documents for the alignment of the shaft. PTC incorporates the shafting, engine and the propeller, which guarantees a smooth and harmonic powering of the propulsion train.
