Today MMG is excited to announce, that we have loaded the first retrofit propeller for Hapag-Lloyd’s Fleet-Upgrade-Program. The highly energy efficient propeller will be mounted onto Hapag’s 7200TEU Ningbo Express next month in Dubai. The five bladed propeller has a diameter of 9300mm and weighs 62t. The propeller will provide a fuel and CO2 saving of 10%-13%, depending on draft and speed of the vessel.
